Hourly News is a simple app that plays the most recent news updates from multiple sources automatically when opened.

As a podcast app, Hourly News lets to you listen to any/all of the most recent NPR , BBC, CBC, ABC, CBS, ESPN, VOA, SRN, RTHK, DW, Marketplace, New York Times, and/or FOX news updates and more.

You can also add your own custom podcasts sources to Hourly News!

I begin everyday with this app. I get my important news from all around the world in a small amount if time.

I like it very much, but it often Stalls, its aggravateing, but i stick with it, i like the news, This may be my favorit app for the news.

Great way to hear the radio network news from several sources. Simple clean interface with no childish "graphics." No ads (except embedded radio spots in casts, but you can forward past them with the slider). No pictures, no links to video feeds with bleach-blonde talking heads, no crap. Just news in a concise spoken word format.

This is wonderful, great snapshot of news. Now wish there were more in-app news sources, perhaps to go deeper or even by category (business news, tech news, etc). I know theres option of paying more and adding personalized news sources and havent explored that yet. Also, app allows you to specify/choose news sources first time you launch app, but I now cant find those options again under the limited Settings and "i" screens. Would be nice to peruse choices again and add or modify if possible.

Originally I chose the app for current news sources, but I soon learned that for virtually nothing, I could add any podcast to my repertoire! I discovered podcast bliss!

A Great way to get the latest news and the app that I use almost every morning while making my coffee and breakfast. Easy to use once configured. Only suggestion for improvement concerns the RTHK feed which plays a complete song at the end of their feed, which I wish could be truncated in some way by the app. Any troubles in using this app, for me, have been feed and/or internet connection related and not fault of the app.

Some bad moments

I did use this app daily, but now it repeatedly stops to buffer incoming data, and is near useless; it never completes the podcasts. Not even one out of seven sources I have lined up has been playing all the way through without stopping at least once, (often two or three times). I have to attempt adjusting the slider a few seconds or restart each podcast every time. I sorely regret having paid money for this.

Very sad that they no longer update this app. It was great now its just frustrating that it has so many file errors. Not worth listening to any more. :(

Used to work fairly well but recently rarely finishes a podcast without stalling with its spinning arrow.

Heres one consumers opinion: Offer a paid ad-free version or five-second (maximum) ads. Until then take care.

Until the introduction of ads before and after the news this was my favorite app. Now I am about to delete it.

Ive use this app daily for years. Seeing how I now the nuances of this app, Im posting a review in hopes they get their act together and bring us an update. BUG: Plagued by connecting issues on every source. Every time I use it. Not connected to bad coverage- happens on strong wifi signals. Something in the app. ANOTHER BUG: When it freezes on a source due to having connection issues (which it will), dont hit pause/play!! It will send you back to the START of the podcast :( You lose your spot! I grow angry and sad now when I see the swirling connecting arrows and think what a great app this used to be. Ive moved on to the NPR app until these guys fix this.
